The Windows 10 upgrade offer applies to appropriate Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices, including devices that you already own. Certain hardware / software requirements apply, and the availability of features may vary by device and market.
The availability of the Windows 10 upgrade for Windows Phone 8.1 devices may vary depending on the device manufacturer or the fixed or mobile network. Devices must be connected to the Internet and actively have Windows Update. Charges may apply from your Internet service provider. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update are required.
Some versions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8 / 8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT / RT 8.1.

If you have Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, or Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center and you install Windows 10, Windows Media Center will be removed. For a limited time ("eligible period"), on systems upgraded to Windows 10 from one of these older versions of Windows ("eligible system"), a DVD player application ("Windows DVD player") will be installed.
Note: the Windows DVD Player may not be installed immediately. It will be installed after the first successful Windows Update. The Windows DVD Player will be available for purchase from the Window Store for systems which
(i) are appropriate systems but the eligible period has elapsed,
