Microsoft is notifying its customers that several editions of Windows 11 (21H2) will reach the end of support on October 10, 2023. The editions affected will be Home, Pro, Pro Education and Pro Workstation.
These versions will no longer receive security updates after October 10, 2023. Microsoft is already moving its users to a newer version, Windows 11 2022 Update (22H2). From January 28, 2023, the company installs will begin to mandatorily version 22H2. This is the first time in modern Windows history that Microsoft will begin forcing devices to upgrade before the operating system reaches the end of support.
Because of this move, the percentage of devices that will continue to run the original version of Windows 11 should not be high. You will find her official announcement here.
For the record, the original version of Windows 11 released on October 5, 2021. The final version was Build 22000.258.
