The Windows 7 continue to be the most widely-used operating system system around the world, and according to some new data provided by Net Applications, the share market is constantly increasing as more and more users install it in their place Windows XP.
Microsoft will officially end support for Windows XP on April 8, and so more and more users are starting to switch their systems to this particular platform and not with Windows 8.1.
Windows 7 seems to be the great winner of this Microsoft decision, after the March figures of 2014 show that it is now in the 48.77% of desktop systems around the world, from 47,31% that was the previous month.
Of course, it's no surprise that Windows 7 is the winner of the Windows XP retirement decision because Windows 8 and 8.1 are rather disappointed with Microsoft's customers.
However, Microsoft is hoping to get more users for Windows 8.1 and is presenting its operating system as the primary destination for owners of Windows XP systems, emphasizing better safety and the performance of the new operating system.
