The Windows 7 another round of their life on October 31, since after that date no newer computer will be able to have them preinstalled (OEM).
This week marks another important milestone for Window 7, which is still the number one Microsoft operating system after Redmond on 31 October 2014 finishes their sales to computer makers.
You know, of course, that brand new PCs now come mostly with a pre-installed operating system that is much cheaper than buying them separately. One of them was Windows 7 as manufacturers will no longer be able to get them for new computers and will have to switch to a newer operating system.
Is 31 October sales end for all Windows 7? No! Only for Windows 7 Home Basic, Window 7 Home Premium, and Windows 7 Ultimate.
Windows 7 Professional θα μπορούν να συνεχίσουν να είναι διαθέσιμα σαν ΟΕΜ.
In fact, for Windows 7 Professional there is still no end date for the end of their retailing, but it is likely that Microsoft will announce it shortly as it hopes to bring to the forefront its modern operating systems such as Windows 8.1 and 10.
Do not panic, support will continue to be offered. Even though the new PCs will no longer come into the market with one of the aforementioned versions of Windows 7 after Friday, this decision does not affect the support provided for the number one desktop operating system in the world.
Basic support for Windows 7 with the Service Pack 1 θα συνεχίσει να προσφέρεται μέχρι τις 13η Ιανουαρίου του 2015, ενώ η εκτεταμένη υποστήριξη είναι εγγυημένη μέχρι τις 14 Ιανουαρίου 2020.
Computers with Windows 7 pre-installed will not completely disappear from store shelves on Friday, October 31st, this is for sure, as manufacturers are allowed to use them as OEMs until all their stocks are exhausted.
Windows 7 continues to be the #1 choice for users around the world, especially if they don't have screen touch but a mouse and a keyboard. Note that Windows 8 can be downgraded to Windows 7, but many people prefer to buy 7 outright mainly because of the familiar interface that includes the Start menu and other features.
