The Windows 8.1 will be updated one more time with security updates next Tuesday, before Microsoft stops supporting them.
Windows 8.1 will not have the feature λήψηof extensive security updates Windows 7 has had over the past three years. As soon as the last update next Tuesday, Microsoft's support for the operating system will end for good.
Windows 8.1 users will of course be able to continue using them, but the system's upcoming security holes will no longer be patched by Microsoft. The programms tours will stop being updated and some websites will stop working as new technologies will no longer be supported by browsers.
Windows 7 will also receive the latest ESU updates this coming Tuesday, as Microsoft signals the end of extended support, even though there is still demand.
Those who are still using Windows 8.1 or even Windows 7 should immediately update to Windows 10. If they do not, Microsoft's operating systems will not stop, but they are at risk of upcoming security holes.
Windows 10 at the moment and after the company's initial frenzy of updating it every three or so, seems to be a very stable operating system for work environments.
