Yesterday, it emerged that the Windows Mobile 10 operating system can only run on devices that have at least 8GB of storage space. So devices like the Lumia 530, don't have enough space for downloading and installation of the new operating system.
Microsoft has revealed that Windows 10 Mobile requires approximately 5 GB of disk space, and as the company seems to have discovered some supercompression method to make the operating system smaller.
According with a Microsoft page, devices with 8 GB storage space will stay with 3 GB of available space after installing Windows Mobile 10, while those with 16 GB will only be able to use 10 GB after upgrading.
Microsoft added that Windows Mobile 10 should be able to run on devices that have at least 512 MB RAM, and admitted that some features would be missing due to hardware limitations
