Since the official presentation of the Windows Phone 8.1 approaching, more and more information about the mobile operating system are available on the Internet through different leaks. The latter of which gives us a look at original startup screen which will be available within it.
A video that appeared in China via youku, reveals more about their home screen Windows Phone 8.1
Apparently the new OS will allow users to choose from a variety of images backgroundy for their splash screen.
Besides, like the WPCentral explains, users will also be able to choose photos from their Facebook accounts to put them there, as well as images from OneDrive, or from the camera app devicetheir
Another feature that the start screen has is the so-called "camouflage drive" [parallax movement] when users do scroll, which will add a Windows feel to the tiles.
Additional features that are expected in the new video and are not visible in the following video are that Windows Phone 8.1 will show more tiles and there will be a feature that allows users to set two or three tile columns on the startup screen to have faster access to more than one of their applications.
What remains to be seen is whether the operating system will be available for all Windows Phone 8.1 devices, as it may be limited to devices with larger screens. On the other hand, the appearance of more tiles has already been detected in a Nokia Lumia 630 smartphone, which is said to be released with an 4,5 inch display, suggesting that it will be available to as many users as possible, if not all.
There is no official confirmation of the features of Windows Phone 8.1 that have been revealed so far, but something related is expected to be presented next week, during the BUILD conference.
