Windows XP: Rise in adoption rate

Surprised by Windows XP: The latest statistics for market share in the operating systems space from the NetMarketShare reveal a very spectacular rise last month.

Windows XP, the operating system launched some 16 years ago and no longer receiving updates since April 2014, improved its market share by 1,28%, even though everyone advises not to use them. Windows XP

Windows XP was one of the targets of the ransomware which started in May, while Microsoft decided to publish an update emergency to protect the users of the ancient operating system.

In conclusion, it turned out that the Windows 7 was much more vulnerable from Windows XP to attacks with WannaCry. But everything shows that despite all the dangers involved in clinging to an 16e operating system, users are not interested in making any upgrades.

The data published by the αποκαλύπτουν ότι τα Windows XP βελτίωσαν το μερίδιό τους από 5,66% σε 6,94% τον περασμένο μήνα, καθιστώντας το λειτουργικό το τρίτο πιο χρησιμοποιούμενο λειτουργικό σύστημα worldwide, after Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Windows 8,1 was very close to a percentage of 6,40%.

The most amazing thing is that Windows XP has been down for quite a few months quite normal as they are no longer supported by Microsoft. For example, in August of 2016, Windows XP was running on 9,36% of computers around the world. In May the percentage dropped from 7,04% to 5,66%.

No doubt, it will take more than expected for Windows XP to disappear from the market, despite Microsoft's warnings.

Perhaps Microsoft will finally be able to read the message (if it has not yet read) that there is a large percentage of the market that is most interested in protecting its privacy despite the new features of Windows 10.
