Η WordPress, just released a minor version. OR 4.2.2 version addresses certain security issues and resolves 13 issues. For more see it note. 
Let's look at the improvements of the new version.
- Fixes one error emoji loading in IE9 and IE10 browsers
- Fixes a keyboard shortcut to save from Visual editor to Mac
- Fixes oEmbed for YouTube URLs to continuously add https
- Fixes how WordPress checks for encoding when sending sending strings to MySQL
- Fixes a bug on dbname.tablename format
- Uses less memory to control regex in UTF-8 encoding
- It fixes his problem wp_signups table when converting it to utf8mb4
- Improving performance by_get_term_children ()
- Fixes one in the attachment URLs that necessarily use https
Platform developers are known not to have the public with the list of security issues that the new version solves, for obvious reasons.
The list of updates security patches will be released later when they are sure most people have updated their software.
