The Xiaomi Mi 5 is here. At today's Mobile World Congress presentations in Barcelona, Xiaomi unveiled the next Mi 5 smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 weighs just 129 grams and has a "3D body glass" on the back. You can opt for a more "durable 3D ceramic" alternative that is more durable and has a "marble-like" feel to it, according to TNW, who attended the event.
On the back, you'll find a 16-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX298 sensor, capable of shooting 4K video. He's got visual 4-axis image stabilization that reduces overall shake.
OIS with 4-axes is impressive as it detects every shake in every direction when most other phones, such as iPhone 6s, use OIS with 3-axes.
At the front there is a 4-megapixel selfie camera. Xiaomi spent a lot of time at the event highlighting the camera, saying it used Qualcomm's "best new" sensor.
Xiaomi's Hugo Barra stated that the Snapdragon 820 is a big deal for the device, given that it is “100 percent faster than the Snapdragon 810” and that while the GPU is “40 percent” faster, it consumes 50 percent less battery, which is a noticeable improvement.
Xiaomi's Mi 5 will run with Android Marshmallow and 7's upgrading of the company's MIUI.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will cost 305 dollars, while a second version, called Mi 5 Pro with 128GB storage space and ceramic back, will be available for 413 dollars.
The device will be first released in China by 1 March, followed by India and other markets that have not been announced precisely.
