Η Xiaomi, dubbed the “Apple of China,” on Tuesday held its first online sale of the new Xiaomi MI3 smartphone as well as the smart MITV. Both devices were sold out within a minute.
The company just announced on Twitter, the sale page, the 100.000 MI3 units it had for sale, disappeared in one minute and 26 seconds, the same thing happened with the smart MITV. The 3.000 smart TV devices were sold out in one minute and 58 seconds.
Xiaomi is well known for its tactics of having its devices through of the Weibo website. And this time, as in previous sales, it was just as successful. Last August, the company placed 100.000's new Hongmi devices in about 90 seconds.
The Xiaomi mi3 and MITV they were officially presented on September 5 at a press conference in Beijing. The company sold 7 million devices and had income $2,5 billion in the first half of 2013. The company is currently valued at around $10 billion, according to Mashable.
