The big talk of the week was YouTube banning ad blockers. Of course there will always be ways around it. Below we will not look at ways to bypass it if you are already using an ad blocker. We're going to take a look at the world of third-party apps for YouTube.
Third-party apps are basically alternative platforms or interfaces that allow you to watch YouTube content without using the YouTube website or its official app directly.
Think of these applications as middlemen. They take the videos from YouTube and present them to you in a different interface, often with some added benefits.
Invidious, for example, is one such app. It provides an ad-free experience, doesn't track your viewing habits, and even lets you download videos.
And the best part? You won't see pop-ups telling you that ad blockers are prohibited! This is possible since it does not interact with YouTube's ad servers at all. So while you're watching content from YouTube, you're not really on YouTube.
However, you should be aware that while these apps offer all of these features, they may not always have them if YouTube changes something. At least until the next update.
But if you're someone who values privacy, doesn't like ads, and doesn't mind missing some of YouTube's latest features, then these apps are for you.
Very useful
Also very useful smartube for Android TV owners.. Thank me later! :)
Note that if you were using YouTube Music (another application) and you were already paying €7.00 then adding YouTube to the subscription would raise the cost to €8.50. That is, it costs you €1.50 to get rid of ads, download videos, play with the screen off or listen while the application is closed, etc.
I personally wouldn't pay €8.50 just for YouTube but since I use the Music service anyway... so be it
Everything you mentioned is offered by monitoring through Brave. when I want to watch something and save ads and the open screen, I just paste to URL in Brave.
Well what you say is for a specific job (watch a video without ads) I say about the subscription to YT music (a different application than pure YouTube).
You don't automatically download music to your cell phone or sync your playlists with other devices via brave, do you?
Interesting though. It's the only browser I haven't tried :)
THIS IS AMAZING NEWS!!! Thank you very much
