How would you feel if YouTube was getting a messenger? As you may see, YouTube already has instant messaging service, but is currently only available to a few users.
Of course, access is expected to increase in the coming period.
According to a Wired publication, YouTube has started testing a new feature “φυσικής ανταλλαγής” ή native sharing στις applications for cell phones, allowing users to share videos more easily, without having to copy and paste URLs or switch between multiple apps.
The highlight of this new feature is that it allows users to submit their video footage as part of the private chat, but comments can also be displayed publicly.
The new service may actually turn YouTube into an instant messaging service, similar to Facebook and Twitter, in the sense that it will support communication between a selected group.
It's a smart business strategy for Youtube, as users will no longer have to abandon the application to chat with their friends, which means less traffic to competitors.
Youtube's new chat service is currently very limited and the company has not yet announced when it will be available for the world.
