YouTube mp3.org: One of the most popular free sites for the video conversion of YouTube to MP3 may soon be shut down by the music industry.
The administrator YouTube-mp3.org, who was indicted by the Recording Industry Association of America or RIAA over the past year, apparently agreed to hand over his website as reported by TorrentFreak. So it looks like the RIAA will keep the domain.
In return for no further prosecution, YouTube mp3 will stop working. It looks like it works at this time, but when you try to convert a video, you get an error message.
Meanwhile RIAA it will not only take control of the domain. According to the announcement published by TorrentFreak (PDF), the webmaster should not "design, develop, offer or exploit any technology or service that permits or facilitates a practice commonly known as 'streamripping.'"
