The developers of Zorin OS they announced Today releases Zorin OS 16 stable, a version that uses Xfce DE, and is optimized to run faster than Windows on very old computers.
It is based on the latest long-term supported Ubuntu 20.04 of Canonical. Zorin OS 16 runs with Linux kernel version 5.8 the same version as in Ubuntu 20.04.
In addition to better performance, stability, and security improvements, it provides support for more hardware, such as Intel's recently announced 11th generation Core processors, upcoming AMD processors, GPUs, and other peripherals. This means that Zorin OS will work with more computers and Appliances.
The latest version of the Zorin OS 16 project as mentioned provides updated hardware compatibility, and updated software for connecting to Android devices, as well as an updated version of LibreOffice.
Zorin OS 16 supports Snap, Flatpak and Flathub services out of the box which will make it easier to install apps. It runs the Linux 5.0 kernel series and brings all the latest software updates and better safetyof Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
