His customers Amazon.co.uk are the target of cybercriminals who send malicious emails. The messages try to deceive the recipients by providing supposed information related to their order. To make the email credible, the subject line includes the shipment number as well as its insignia Amazon. Cheats have sent so far more than 600.000 malicious messages.
Researchers at AppRiver, which specializes in email and web protection, detected the malicious activity at the end of October and have since managed to block more than 600.000 malicious emails. Troy Gill, senior security analyst, of companys, states that "the messages include a Word document with malware". It is a keylogger that intercepts information related to bank accounts and personal data of users.
