1. Save web pages in PDF format

Google Chrome has a built-in PDF writer. Open any webpage, press Ctrl + P for Windows or Cmd + P on your Mac and select "Save as PDF" to download this page as a PDF file.

2. Import custom keyboard shortcuts

Google Chrome supports a number of keyboard shortcuts, but you can set your own custom shortcuts that run Chrome extensions and apps. Type chrome: // extensions in your browser address bar to open the extensions page. Scroll down and click on the link that says keyboard shortcuts.

3. Delete your history selectively

Google Chrome History (chrome: // history) does not have a "Select All" button so if you want to delete, say, 20 pages from your history log, you must select 20 boxes. How can you save time? Select the first box, hold down shift and select the last box. Whatever you are in between will be selected.

4. Install unauthorized extensions in Chrome

Newer versions of Chrome do not allow you to install extensions that are not available in the official Google Chrome store. As a temporary solution, you can open the Chrome Extensions page, enable Developer, and drag-n-drop the extension you want to install (.crx file) into your Chrome.

5. Quick Fix for a Slow Chrome

If your Chrome crawls after many hours of continuous operation, the easiest way to fix the problem is to restart your browser. But sometimes the culprit could be a badly coded extension or even a website. You can verify this from Tools -> Task Manager. It will show you a list. Sort the list by clicking on "Memory" or "Memory", and select the web pages or extensions that use the most memory. Click the End Process button.

6. Give location

Some websites, such as Google Maps, for example, may ask the browser for your location. You can choose not to share this data with the web pages or you can even give a false location. Go to Developer Tools / Tools and press the Esc key to open the console. On the Emulation tab, you can enter any value for latitude and longitude.

7. Uncover all hidden passwords

Chrome can remember and automatically fill in your passwords, but it shows them like dicks and so it's impossible to read them. If you want to remember a password, open the page chrome :/ / settings / passwords

8. Compose email from the address bar

If you're writing a new email in Chrome, by now you've opened your Gmail and done it from there the classic way. Alternatively, simply go to your browser's address bar and enter the email address with the mailto command. For example mailto: info@iguru.gr. This will open a Gmail window to send your message. The address in the To field will already exist after you have entered it.

9. Take notes through Chrome

While there are some good Chrome extensions that add a notebook to your browser, there is a small JavaScript hack that instantly converts your Chrome into a word processor. Open a new tab and type in the address bar.

data:text/html, html contenteditable>

Click anywhere inside the tab and start typing.

10. Use Chrome as Media Player

You can bring audio files, videos, images, text files, and even PDF documents from your desktop to Chrome and open them without using a special viewer.

11. Place more bookmarks on the toolbar

If you want to show more bookmarks in Chrome's Bookmarks Toolbar, just right-click on any bookmark, select Edit, and remove everything in the Name field. Save and Chrome will show only the site's favicons in the toolbar. So the program can fit many more bookmarks in the same space.

12. Improve stability, use Flash only when needed

Although there is already a big shift towards HTML5, some websites still require the Adobe program . Go to your browser's Advanced Settings (chrome: // settings / content) and select "Click to Play" under Plugins. Flash Player will remain disabled in your browser and when a website requires Flash, you can temporarily enable it.

13. Προσποιηθείτε ότι είστε με σε αργό Internet

If you have a slow internet connection, or if the hotel charges you for every byte of data, you can pretend to be using a mobile device. This way most websites will serve you their mobile version which is smaller in size. How is this possible? Open Chrome's developer tools, switch to Simulation or Emulation, and select Android or iOS as the user client. Make sure Screen and Device emulation is disabled.

14. Remove the annoying URLs

When you type in Chrome's address bar, the browser will start suggesting URLs from your history. If there's a specific URL you don't want to appear in the list of suggestions, you can easily remove it by clearing the history or from the address bar itself. Highlight URL autocomplete in the drop-down list and press Shift+Delete to remove it permanently.

15. Change directly to Google Cache

Google Cache is very handy if a website you are trying to open is offline. Chrome makes it really easy to access the cached version of each page. If you are trying to open a URL and it doesn't open click the address bar, and type cache: before the URL. Press Enter. You will be taken directly to Google Cache.
