mit-hacked

Today is one year since the day that the activist and programmer Aaron Swartz committed suicide.

In his memory, Anonymous violated a website of the well-known American University MIT cogeneration and energy systems placing a message at the beginning that says: "Remember the day of the counterattack - We never forget, we never surrender, wait for us - #OPLASTRESORT". The website is still infringed.

Anonymous's message contains a link to the website: https://thedaywefightback.org/

Let us remember you that Aaron Swartz was a 26-year-old developer and activist who killed himself on January 11, 2013, facing an indictment with a possible 20 years in prison because in 2009, he violated the of the US courts and released the files he got online, arguing that the public should be free στα πάντα και δύο χρόνια μετά έκανε hacking στο ΜΙΤ και κυκλοφόρησε και πάλι στο διαδίκτυο εκατομμύρια επιστημονικές from the JSTOR database, which sells scholarly books and journals.

His family then had accused MIT and the US prosecution of being responsible for his suicide.
