Anonymous violated MIT's website in memory of Aaron Swartz

mit-hacked

Like today marks one year since the day the activist and programmer committed suicide .

In his memory, Anonymous hacked a website of the well-known American University MIT referred to cogeneration and energy systems placing a message at the beginning that says: "Remember the day of the counterattack - We never forget, we never surrender, wait for us - #OPLASTRESORT". The website is still infringed.

Anonymous's message contains a link to the website: https://thedaywefightback.org/

Let us remember you that Aaron Swartz was a 26-year-old developer and activist who took his own life on January 11, 2013, facing an indictment with a possible 20 years in prison because in 2009, he hacked the system of the US courts and circulated in the the files he took, arguing that the public should have free access to everything, and two years later he hacked MIT and put them back online scientific publications from the JSTOR database, which sells scientific books and journals.

His family then had accused MIT and the US prosecution of being responsible for his suicide.
