I don't remember exactly when I switched browsers, from IE to Firefox, but it must have been since the program tour appeared on the scene.
Firefox released it November of 2004 (PDF) and became almost immediately "absorbed", thanks to speed, the customization options and features it launched.
From then until today Firefox has completely changed, following the trends, the better safety and adding support for hundreds of new plugins.

From then until today the browser of the institution Mozilla it's on the computers I use professionally and personally.
My choice is not accidental:
I trust the Mozilla Foundation much more than all other browsers in the privacy issue.
Although some updates and specific changes were made to the browser in the last chronicle space, torpedo the "privacy" of the end user, I still believe that the Mozilla foundation cares a lot more about the privacy of its users than any other company with browsers that grabs 1% or more market share.
One simple reason for this is that Mozilla is not Google, Opera or Microsoft. Google and Opera, for example, earn most of their revenue from advertising.

Of course, as a loyal friend of the application, I can justify everything by putting forward the open nature of the foundation although this is certainly one of the reasons why Mozilla's decisions are being democratically debugged on the Internet while other browser users see what only when the browser is updated.
