I don't remember exactly when I switched browsers, from IE to Firefox, but it must have been since the program tour appeared on the scene.
Firefox released it November of 2004 (PDF) and was almost immediately "surprised", thanks to the speed, customization options and features it launched.
From then to today Firefox has completely changed, following the trends, security and adding support for the hundreds of news plugins.

Since then, Mozilla's Mozilla Foundation Browser has been on computers I use on a professional and personal level.
My choice is not accidental:
I trust the Mozilla Foundation much more than all other browsers in the privacy issue.
Although some recent browser updates and changes have torpedoed end-user privacy, I still believe that the Mozilla Foundation is much more interested in the privacy of its users than any other company. has browsers that capture more than 1% and more of its market share.
