Happy Few Firefox: 11 years on the internet

Firefox released it November of 2004 (PDF) and was almost immediately "surprised", thanks to the speed, customization options and features it launched.firefox 1

Since then, Mozilla's Mozilla Foundation Browser has been on computers I use on a professional and personal level.

My choice is not accidental:

I trust the Mozilla Foundation much more than all other browsers in the privacy issue.

Although some recent browser updates and changes have torpedoed end-user privacy, I still believe that the Mozilla Foundation is much more interested in the privacy of its users than any other company. has browsers that capture more than 1% and more of its market share.

One simple reason for this is that Mozilla is not Google, Opera or Microsoft. Google and Opera, for example, earn most of their revenue from advertising.

Of course we have seen the Mozilla Foundation make very bad decisions in the past. The controversial Australis redesign, the degradation of many features, the incorporation of other irrelevant features, such as the Pocket ..

Of course, as a loyal friend of the application, I can justify everything by putting forward the open nature of the foundation although this is certainly one of the reasons why Mozilla's decisions are being democratically debugged on the Internet while other browser users see what only when the browser is updated.

I think the Mozilla Foundation covers me in protecting the privacy of the end user, but also because it listens to its developers and its audience in general, something I would like to keep…
