Mr. Brendan Eich, its co-founder Mozilla, developed and just released its first version browser Brave. The new browser focuses on removing what it considers to be the most invasive ads.
According to the manufacturer, the new app will not only focus on your privacy but will also speed your browsing too.
Brave will not deliver ads that use your browsing history for advertiser-targeted advertising. This does not mean that you will not see any ads since it will only show a few harmless (at the discretion of the developer) to help both visitors and publishers in theory at least.
“Vrave browser blocks everything: initialization and analytics scripts that initiate programmatic advertising, tracking pixels, and ad-click confirmation," Eich says.
Although it is still too early, you can try the new browser by downloading the installation files from Github. Do not expect surprises, you can just try it before the official beta release.
Brave currently does not have browser features, such as: preferences, bookmark management, history, or download folder. Obviously we will see more things in the coming weeks.
If you still insist, from GitHub you can download the version for computers, iOS ή Android.
If you still want to wait for a more stable version, you can sign up for Brave and you will be notified when the beta version is ready.
