While Apple finally added wireless charging to iPhone X and 8, there was no reference to fast charging during the presentation of the company. As it turns out Apple decided not to mention it in the presentation for a simple reason:
New iPhone supports fast charging, but you need to buy a special adapter to use it.
9to5Mac noticed first feature on Apple's official spec pages. The company touts all of its new phones as capable of charging to 50 percent from zero in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, you'll need one of Apple's USB-C power adapters ($49+) and a USB-C lightning cable ($25+) to make it work.
Paying 75 dollars in addition to a phone that costs 1.000 dollars for such a basic feature seems a little unfair.
We do not know for sure what kind of cable comes with the iPhone X and 8, but the "specifications" section does not mention a USB-C cable.
On the contrary MacBook Apple's and MacBook Pro are both reported to have USB-C, so the new iPhones are likely to come with the standard old USB-A cable.
