While Apple eventually added wireless charging to the iPhone X and 8, there was no reference to fast charging during her presentation companys. As it turns out, Apple decided not to mention it in the presentation for a simple reason:
New iPhone supports fast charging, but you need to buy a special adapter to use it.
9to5Mac noticed first feature on Apple's official spec pages. The company touts all of its new phones as capable of charging to 50 percent from zero in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, you'll need one of Apple's USB-C power adapters ($49+) and a USB-C lightning cable ($25+) to make it work.
Paying 75 dollars in addition to a phone that costs 1.000 dollars for such a basic feature seems a little unfair.
We don't know for sure what kind cable it comes with the iPhone X and 8, but the “the box” specs section doesn’t mention a USB-C cable.
Instead, Apple's MacBook and MacBook Pro report that they have both USB-C, so the new iPhone is likely to come with the regular old USB-A cable.
