To fix the font problem, download the latest version of the font driver cardgraphics card available on your computer and install it. If you already have the latest version of driver you will have to repeat the installation. It seems that the driver update changes the font cache and updates the font switching settings. So everything goes back to normal.
We do not know at this time when the next stable version of Windows will be released. If you are already using Windows 10 October 2018 Update and you are having problems, you might want to restore it to a previous version, more stable, at least until all the problems are fixed.
