Samsung unveiled at CES 2019 the first 4-inch 15,6K OLED display, ideal for laptop and is considered the most likely model to be used by HP and Dell.
We expect to finally see the first portable computer with an OLED screen as at CES 2019 the company Samsung presented an OLED 4 screen with diagonal 15,6 inches. The monitors will offer a High Dynamic Range (HDR), excellent color reproduction and high external visibility, according to the Samsung Display Manager at Yoon Jae-nam.
With OLED technology each pixel has its own "light", so you have a true black when they are off. Samsung points out that its panels meet VESA's DisplayHDR True Black specification. It also states that OLED panels tend to have better color accuracy than LCD screens, and can easily handle HDR. Brightness levels peak at 600 nits, enough to meet the demanding DisplayHDR 600 certification, and the screen covers 100% of the range DCI-P3 with 34 million colors. It is also thinner, lighter and uses less energy compared to an LCD screen.
OLEDs are not the perfect product as they have their problems too. Samsung will launch the construction των οθονών στα μέσα Φεβρουαρίου του 2019, αλλά δεν έχει αναφέρει ποιοι κατασκευαστές φορητών υπολογιστών θα τις χρησιμοποιούν. Εντούτοις, οι οθόνες 4K OLED πιθανά θα φορεθούν στα μηχανήματα της Dell XPS 15, Alienware m15 και G 15 που θα κυκλοφορήσουν τον Μάρτιο καθώς και στο μηχάνημα της HP Spectre x360 OLED 2-in-1 coming in July.
