The Kali Linux is a Debian-based distribution with a collection of security - criminology tools.
The project's latest release, Kali Linux 2020.4, makes zsh the default line shell orders, guides new users through the distribution's resources when they log in, and adapts the bash shell to look more like zsh.
In our previous quarterly release, 2020.3, we focused on switching from Bash to zsh as our default shell (where possible).
We are pleased to announce that after testing and user feedback, the change done. Say hello to zsh. A thank you to everyone who provided positive and constructive feedback.
We are happy with that and hope you are too. We know we can't thank you all together (so if you want to go back to Bash, run the command:
'chsh -s /bin/bash').”
More information along with screenshots of the new bash shell can be found at announcement of the new version.
