Documentary filmmaker Ernesto Gallioto's iPhone 6s survived a 300-meter fall from a small plane and, most surprisingly, recorded its fall for everyone to enjoy.
Gallioto pulled the iPhone 6s out of the small window of the single-engine plane to take aerial shots of a beach in Rio de Janeiro. All is well until the phone left his hands due to the wind.

When he landed and checked the Find My Phone app, he discovered that the iPhone 6s was still on and sitting in the middle of a Rio beach. It had a small scratch, but survived the fall and still worked thanks to a silicone case and screen protector (apparently the sand also helped).
You can watch in the video above, the iPhone 6s falling from almost 300 meters, which also includes cockpit shots from the moment Gallioto dropped his phone. Surprisingly, this is not the first time a phone (or camera) falls from a great height and lived to tell his story.
