Documentary filmmaker Ernesto Gallioto's iPhone 6s survived a 300-meter fall from a small plane and, most surprisingly, recorded its fall for everyone to enjoy.
Gallioto pulled the iPhone 6s out of the small window of the single-engine plane to take aerial shots of a beach in Rio de Janeiro. All is well until the phone left his hands due to the wind.

When he landed and checked the Find My Phone app, he discovered the iPhone 6s was still on and sitting in the middle of a Rio beach. It had a small scratch, but it survived the fall and still works thanks to one case silicone and the screen protector (apparently the sand helped too).
You can watch the iPhone 6s fall from nearly 300 meters in the video above, which also includes footage from the cockpit and from the moment Galioto dropped it phone of. Surprisingly, it's not the first time a phone (or camera) falls from a great height and lived to tell his story.
