If you are using LastPass Free, the free version of LastPass password management and synchronization service, then you may need to find another one, or pay for LastPass LogMeIn to continue using it.
LastPass has announced that it will be making changes to its free service on March 16, 2021. From that day forward, the users of LastPass Free will only be able to use one type of device to access their passwords and use the sync feature.
The company distinguishes between two types of devices (computers and mobiles) and starting from that day, free users will be able to use only one type of device.
Η change δεν θα επηρεάσει τους χρήστες της LastPass Free που χρησιμοποιούν την υπηρεσία μόνο στους υπολογιστές τους, π.χ. έναν φορητό, επιτραπέζιο υπολογιστή, κάποια επέκταση προγράμματος περιήγησης ή μόνο σε κινητές Appliances, basically anything that works on Android or iOS.
However, users using the service on mobile and desktop systems can no longer do so except even if they buy a premium subscription.
LastPass says users will have to set the device type starting March 16, 2021. Customers will have three chances to change the active device type according to a company blog post before the choice become permanent.
For those who are interested, you can try the safe application Kee Pass.
It's free and saves them passwords locally and not in the cloud.
