For this case, a regular procedure file was filed against three (3) citizens, aged 50, 28 and 25, for the offenses of public incitement to violence and hatred via the internet, jointly and consecutively, public provocation and incitement to execution of misdemeanors and felonies committed by hate, via the Internet, while the 50-year-old is also accused of perjury.
In particular, the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office in the context of targeted online surveys and after proper use of complaints (both through telephone calls and emails) at the Business Planning Center CYBER ALERT verified that in the afternoon hours of 15-03-2015 on an internet blog, they had been posted publications and comments with offensive content about the memory of a 20-year-old citizen, who was found dead on 15-03-2015 in the Katsika area of Ioannina.
There was immediate mobilization and all necessary actions were taken by sending official requests to foreign companies to immediately disable these offensive posts. At the same time, companies were asked to keep electronic traces of unknown actors for any judicial use (Relevant by 16-03-2015 Press Release of the Hellenic Police Force Headquarters)
The Athens District Attorney's Office was informed of the above and ordered a preliminary investigation, for the crime of public incitement of violence and hatred via the internet, jointly and consecutively, in order to verify the details of unknown persons, who made the online posts ( Relevant by 16-03-2015 Press Release of the Hellenic Police Force Headquarters ).
In the course of the online inquiries and the preliminary investigation, the case file was again brought to the Prosecutor's Office of Athens, which brought additional criminal proceedings for the offense of causing a misdemeanor or hateful felony and a new order was given to the Electronic Crime Prosecution conducting a preliminary investigation.
For the thorough and complete investigation of the case, a thorough digital investigation and analysis of the digital data - data of the case was carried out and continuous correspondence was carried out with the competent management company based abroad as well as with local internet service providers.
From the responses of the above companies, the electronic traces of the perpetrators were identified and the areas from which they proceeded to the relevant online posts were identified geographically. Specifically, 25 was played by Athens, 50 from Thessaloniki and 28 from Mytilene.
Following that, a nationwide police operation was designed and conducted, during which simultaneous police searches were carried out, in the presence of judicial officers in the homes of the parties involved.
From the on-site digital investigations by specialized officers, the involvement and malicious activity of the three perpetrators were digitally identified while one was seized portable computer and three internal hard drives.
The seized digital testimonies will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Division for laboratory tests.
The two-year-olds of 25 and 28 years were not arrested because the conditions of the autoproductive procedure were not met. It is noted that 50 is seeking to be arrested on the verge of self-indulgence for the offense of dishonesty.

The file that has been filed against them will be submitted to the appropriate Prosecutor's Office. At the same time their involvement in any other offenses, as well as possible communication with individuals in the area of Ioannina, is investigated.
