Could a device be a laptop, tablet, and smartphone? As paradoxical as it sounds Asus considered this to be possible and presented the pioneering Transformer Book V.
This device was presented during the Computex technology exposition, conducted in Taiwan, and is characterized by the company itself as a 3-in-1 laptop with five alternative features.
Transformer Book V can work as a Windows and Android device, laptop and tablet, as well as an Android smartphone. Its design includes a removable 12,5 inch diagonal screen, which can be turned into a separate tablet, featuring a smartphone with a five inch diagonal screen.
In the form of laptop, Transformer Book V, runs two alternative operating systems: Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat. It has full QWERTY keyboard and touchpad, combined with a special switch key between the two operating systems. Internally, it has an Intel-sourced processor, 1TB of storage, and a 12,5-inch HD IPS screen with touch support.
Correspondingly, in the form tablets it can switch its operating system between Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat by tapping the screen. Each operating system gives access to the corresponding ones app stores (Google Play Store and Windows Store), while its storage space it amounts to 128GB.
Within the tablet, it nestles smartphone with functional Android 4.4 KitKat, LTE and LTE support 5,5 inch diagonal screen. This individual device uses a four-core Intel Atom processor and an 2500 mAh battery.
