iOS device owners better be careful about the videos they want to play on their device. A video is currently circulating on the internetnetwork which can "drop" almost any iPhone or iPad in three seconds.
The video has been uploaded to YouTube, and if you play the .mp4 in Safari on any iOS device the system it will begin to slow significantly until it freezes completely.
What is particularly interesting is that the video does not immediately terminate her mode of your iPhone. It takes around 15 to 30 seconds to start affecting your device, gradually rendering it completely useless. Then the only thing that saves you is a hard reset.
We currently don't know what specific video is causing the malfunction, but the most likely explanation is that the clip is corrupted archive which causes memory leaks when loaded in Safari.
Let's say it does not seem to work on older devices (tested on iPhone 4 running with iOS 7.1.2 and the device continued to work).
