Yesterday (25.09.2014), the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate arrested a 36-year-old citizen, as part of the spontaneous procedure, against whom a case file was filed for pornography and seduction of minors through Internet.
There was a previous complaint according to which a minor girl, after being seduced through social networking sites and communications, sent photos of her with obscene content which resulted in them being shared among various netizens.
The above-mentioned Prosecutor's Offices were informed of the above, which issued a bill to remove the confidentiality of communications. From the on-line survey that followed, and in collaboration with Internet and social networking companies, the data of the arrested person emerged.
In an investigation carried out at the 36-year-old's home in Thessaloniki, in the presence of a Prosecutor's Office, a laptop computer and an external hard drive.
A number of child pornography files (photos) were found in the on-site survey of seized electronic storage media, which was the subject of the autochthonous process.
At the same time, it was found that he was a profile manager on a social network page, where after a check it was found archived conversation with the minor, to whom he had sent the photos in question.
Seized evidence will be sent to forensic laboratories for further examination.
Surveys will continue to identify other social networking administrators who have been involved in seduction of the minor.
The arrested person, with the file that was filed against him, is brought to the competent Prosecutor's Office.
