One may have broken a form encryptionof DVDs that until today everyone thought was unbreakable. This could possibly mean that it will soon be possible to download 4K Blu-Ray movies via bittorrent.
According to TorrentFreak, a supposedly broken copy of The Smurfs 2, appeared in the HD Bit Torrent UltraHDClub community. We do not know more details at this time.
4K Blu-Ray movies on DVD are protected with Advanced Content Content System (AACS) 2.0, an encryption that has not yet been broken. And we say it's not broken yet, but that's not quite the case, when you consider that until now anyone who wanted to distribute a 4K Blu-Ray was copying it through the screen, resulting in a loss of quality.
