You have a problem activating the Windows 10? Until recently no one could help, as the support of Microsoft was essentially telling everyone concerned to do it again installation on the older OS (Windows 7 or 8), apply the upgrade through the activated OS, and then try to activate Windows 10.

In our case, on an Acer laptop, the installation of Windows 10 was normally up to 54% and stopped by pointing to APPLY_IMAGE.

From today, Microsoft offers the solution for such activation issues. Of course, a prerequisite is to have a legacy older activation key (Windows 7, 8, 8.1)
You can call for free at 8015003000 and follow the instructions. Select that you are interested in activation and proceed until you speak with a Microsoft representative. (No automated help)
The support department will ask for your old activation key, check it to confirm its validity, and request your details.
These items include, name, last name, phone and your personal e-mail.
After a while (about a quarter), the company will call you to give you a Windows 10 activation key.
The key will be sent to you via e-mail and the Microsoft representative will remain on the line until activation occurs.
Note: The old activation key will be canceled, and can not be used again to activate Windows 7 or Windows 8, 8.1.
