Amazon has removed products that claim to cure coronavirus

Amazon removed a million that claimed to cure the Corona virus. It is the second technological one which together with Facebook takes measures against disinformation.

According to the Reuters news agency, Amazon has downloaded 1 million products claiming to cure it. The company also withdrew thousands of scam products and warned traders not to sell masks at exorbitant prices.

Amazon did not specify the exact amount above which the company considers the sale as a scandal. Amazon, however, claims that it will use a mix of automated and manual listing reviews to detect false requests and price spikes. Scientists around the world have repeatedly pointed out that there is still no cure for the new Coronavirus. Therefore, any ad you can see online that promises a cure is fake and you should report it.
