Android Nougat is finally here. Do not rejoice, it came for the few and chosen and it is distributed with updates over-the-air.
Below are the devices that can get the update first:
- Nexus 6
- Nexus 5X
- Nexus 6P
- Nexus 9
- Nexus Player
- Pixel C
- General Mobile 4G (Android One)
We should also mention the LG V20, which according to Google will be the first device to be released with the new functional.
The update is exactly the same as the last one preview of the operating system, with 72 new emoji and new quick settings for features like Bluetooth.
Apps can also change their behavior depending on your location, and run side by side with multi-window support.
Google also reports that Doze is smarter on Android Nougat, and will turn on when the device is in a bag or backpack.
VR also plays a big part in Android Nougat that has support for Vulkan and Daydream, first announced on Google I / O earlier this year.
So now Nexus owners can check their devices to see when the update will appear. Like all Android updates, it will be released gradually - and it will take some time for it to reach everyone.
