The developer Ubuntu and Debian Iain Lane ενημέρωσε την κοινότητα του Ubuntu ότι το επερχόμενο Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak πέρασε σε στάδιο Feature Freeze από τις 18 Αυγούστου του 2016.
The Feature Freeze development stage means that no new features will be added to the upcoming one functional system, and the team development will focus on bug fixes and performance improvements before the official release of the final version of Ubuntu Yakkety Yak scheduled for October 13, 2016.
The first Beta version of Ubuntu 16.10 will be released next Thursday, August 25, but it will only be available on Ubuntu MATE flavors, Kubuntu, Ubuntu Studio, Ubuntu GNOME, and Xubuntu.
A second and last Beta will follow. The final version of Ubuntu Yakkety Yak as we mentioned earlier will be released on 13 October of 2016.
