Google he revealed today the name of Android P. The upcoming operating system for mobile devices will be called Android Pie. The latest version of Google's operating system, Android 9.0 Pie, will start rolling out today as an update for Pixel devices.
During the beta testing phase, Android P was also made available to other devices: Sony Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Nokia 7 Plus, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21, OnePlus 6 and the Essential PH-1. Google has said that these devices, as well as all eligible Android One devices, will be able to install Android Pie "by the end of Fall."
Google says it is working with "various companies to launch or upgrade devices to Android 9 this year"
Android Pie will not be available on Nexus devices.
Google naturally states that its new functional συστημα Android Pie περιλαμβάνει “τεχνητή νοημοσύνη για να κάνει το τηλέφωνό σας πιο έξυπνο, πιο απλό και πιο προσαρμοσμένο σε εσάς”.
Android Pie offers a number of new features, such as built-in screen void support (notches on the road mapped out by the iPhone X), a tweaked panel for quick adjustments, skewed notifications with rounded corners, alerts from notifications will be answered directly.
Smart notification responses, fingerprint authentication from the UI, privacy improvements to limit apps running in the background, Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness (direct from Google DeepMind), App Actions that predict what the user will do, App Slices for displaying an app's user interface inside Google and Google Assistant app search results, a BiometricPrompt API for any supported type of biometric authentication, and multi-camera APIs that will let you access simultaneous streaming from two or more cameras.
