Antergos is a modern, elegant and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It was launched under the name Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the distribution Arch Linux.
Since then, the project has progressed from its initial goals and offers many different desktop options, such as: GNOME 3 (prechoice), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphical installer.
The functional like all its forks Arch Linux, is not recommended for novice Linux users. If you have already worked with Linux (even with Ubuntu or Mint), you will not have any particular difficulty.
As mentioned before, Antergos has its own graphical installer Cnchi. The boot of the installer is on a desktop GNOME, but during installation it gives the options to choose between several different desktops such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce and open box.
The network connection is required to start the installation as before it is automatically updated the Cnchi installation program.
Today, Antergos released a new update: Antergos 2016.11.20's ISO is available for download.
