The Fall of Apple: From Innovation to Imitation

Immigration in the world of technology is something normal, and even expected, but during the Apple Developers Conference on Monday, Tim Cook and his company were rather disappointed. apple logo

The company did not seem to show any catch-up, something we have not seen before by Apple's opponents, and in some cases, there have been years in other operating systems.

To this day Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has established itself in the minds of the consumer public as a pioneering company that creates completely new things. For example during the reign of Jobs, he created the smartphone with the mp3 , something that raised them a lot in the eyes of the buying public. This year, however, nothing looked like a significant upgrade of applications and services.

Everything was .

This does not mean Apple does not have many original ideas worth stealing someone, but it does WWDC 2015 did not add anything to the showcase of innovation that makes the company stand out.

Instead the company followed the imitation, which it blamed so much until today. At some point, it seems that Apple realized that Google is planning the future of mobile with the interactions in our gadgets, through related applications, deep linking and multitasking. Apple was behind in all opinions.

The bigger, and the brightest "I have too" from Apple's presentation last Monday was the "Proactive, "Which for the most part is a clone of it Google Now. Indeed, Proactive is nothing more than a shadow of Google Now, especially now that Google has announced the new feature Now on Tap.

But the similarities between the two apps are quite apparent. Proactive is on the left of the home screen, just like Google Now for Nexus. It searches with deep links within applications that exist on your smartphone, just like Google Now.

Even when Apple tried to hit Google under the belt for privacy irregularities (something like "We do not hold your data against others"), it simply acknowledged that "yes, we know, this has be done in the past ”or“ yes, we know, this has been done before. ”

The catch-up game does not stop there. Apple has promoted the new Apple Maps, with the addition of transit instructions to the main application, the options to connect with third-party applications such as HopStop. This, of course, is something that Google Maps has been doing for years, and today it can do it with almost scary precision.

And what about this multitasking feature that Apple says adds to the iPads to split screens on 1 / 2 or 2 / 3?

Well, Android's most popular skin, Samsung's TouchWiz, has had it built into the OS for a while now, not to mention it's a rip off of the multitasking that Microsoft on Windows 8.

Then, beyond Google and Microsoft, Spotify, the Flipboard, and Feedly are all what Apple has shown.

To be fair, it is likely that 2016 can see big changes on mobile and desktop from Apple. More original ideas that made Apple the trillions of dollars it is today.

This year, however, the company disappointed.
