The US Patent and Trademark Office in the United States has issued a new patent Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), που ονομάζεται “Integrated touch sensor and solar assembly,” ή στα Ελληνικά (ελεύθερη μετάφραση) “Ολοκληρωμένος ηλιακός αισθητήρας αφής.” Το νέο δίπλωμα ευρεσιτεχνίας σχετίζεται με μια ενιαία συστοιχία αισθητήρων αφής και ηλιακές συστοιχίες κυψελών. Με λίγα λόγια, η Apple φαίνεται να έχει ανακαλύψει έναν τρόπο να ενσωματώσει έναν ηλιακό φορτιστή στις Appliances της που δεν απαιτεί απαραίτητα άμεση ηλιακή radiation.
Imagine one iPhone (ή κάποια άλλη συσκευή της companyh) in the near future, which could use integrated solar arrays that capture sunlight with the help of optical fibers.
This way the battery pack does not necessarily have to be built into the outside of the phone, so Apple will be able to keep its devices as thin as possible.

Of course we should mention that not all patents always find applications, as there are many that have remained patents. So waiting…
