Σήμερα το πρωί κυκλοφόρησε η πρώτη "σταθερή" έκδοση του Price OS. It is Apricity OS 07.2016 Aspen version based on Arch and is aimed at beginners as well as advanced users. The morning after the announcement of the new Apricity OS, I downloaded it, flashed it to a USB, created a partition and installed it, curious to see the first stable version of the OS.
In a nutshell: On the surface it looks good. I installed the Cinnamon version, but functionally it still needs a lot work. 
Let me start by the installer. For installing from live DVD there is Calamares 2.3.0-3, which seemed to me much slower than the calamares of other distributions (for example Manjaro). However, calamares did not make any mistake.
The system because it is based on Arch Linux is fast enough, and if you want to show your friends that you installed Arch you can do it by showing them the boot screen. Distribution boots as Arch Linux as they have not yet given the Apricity name to the kernel.
Let me report that it uses very little system resources, although I have noticed many ghost processes that I honestly do not know where they came from.

Wine and PlayOnLinux come pre-installed. Thanks but I will not get it. For some it may be a great idea, but for me I do not use Windows applications and do not play games, it's useless.
Let's go to folder permissions. Only root can move folders to home! Imagine a novice user entering the process of doing cmod with terminal. Yes there is an option to open folder as root, but come on tease the .mozilla folder as root and then try to run the app. The permissions have changed and o firefox it won't run. So necessarily cmod from terminal.
All of the above can just be seen by somebody with knowledge of Linux, but I mention them because the developers of Apricity OS have developed it to be a simple and easy to use distribution that anyone can use.
