AV-Test: ESET Mobile Security best antivirus for Android

ESET received the top score in the latest AV-Test for the best antivirus for android. Independent testing organization AV-Test uses one of the world's largest collections of digital malware samples to create a realistic environment for accurate testing.

In July 2020, AV-Test evaluated 17 Android mobile security products using the default and the latest versions of all products.

The test focused on malware detection and usability , including yield and number of false positive detections.

ESET Mobile Security (EMS) achieved top scores throughout the test series with a 6.0 / 6.0 Protection Score, a 6.0 / 6.0 Performance Score and a 6.0 / 6.0 Usability Score.

The ESET Mobile Security app for Android was also singled out for not affecting battery life or slowing it down . Key features of the solution referenced in the test include:

Application control: A feature that allows, rejects or restricts access to specific applications
Block calls: Blocks calls from specific or unknown numbers
Safe browsing: Protection against malicious websites and / or phishing
