AV TEST: Windows Defender one of the best antivirus

AV TEST tests June 2019: Windows Defender is now one of the top productτα προστασίας από ιούς παγκοσμίως, σύμφωνα με έρευνα που διεξήγαγαν οι ερευνητές ασφαλείας του German Institute AV-TEST.

Microsoft is not someone company which only develops security software, and yet managed to make Windows Defender, the built-in antivirus of Windows 10 a very good and reliable product.

The latest tests conducted by AV TEST report that Windows Defender offers very reliable performance, such as security products for companies (Kaspersky and Symantec).

Specifically, Windows Defender managed to score a final 18 score on German tests, taking six points in tests that evaluate product protection, performance and usability.

Only three other apps managed to get the top rating: F-Secure SAFE, Kaspersky apps Internet Security and Symantec Norton Security.

Products developed by other leading security vendors, such as Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security and VIPRE Security AdvancedSecurity, received 17,5 points losing half a point in one of the three categories of the tests mentioned above.

Webroot SecureAnywhere had the lowest score with 11,5 points after receiving 2 points for protection, 5,5 points for performance and 4 points for usability.

Windows Defender comes integrated with the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.

The latest version of Windows 10, (May 2019 Update or version 1903), has the Windows Security feature, which groups the Windows security. It includes antivirus, features to protect your account, firewall, device security, parental controls and more.
