Bitdefender TrafficLight free security extension for Firefox

The company Bitdefender has released the Bitdefender TrafficLight extension for the Firefox browser. It is a security extension that comes for free and is Bitdefender's first to be developed with the WebExtensions system.

It brings new features, compared to the previous version.
Bitdefender TrafficLight

The BitDefender TrafficLight for Firefox extension offers free security indicators on the websites you visit and on the websites displayed on supported engines s. The extension simply informs you, and will not prevent you from visiting pages it identifies as dangerous.

The extension works standalone, meaning you shouldn't or another Bitdefender security application.

It will display a green icon for secure pages and a red icon for potentially malicious or dangerous pages. The extension checks each page for malware, phishing, or spam, and reports your findings.

Bitdefender TrafficLight will show you the security icons in supported browsers. It only works on some search engines, such as: Google, , DuckDuckGo and Bing, while it doesn't work on Startpage, Yandex, or Baidu for now at least.

The Bitdefender extension hosts a settings page, from where you can enable or disable security features.

Those who are interested in trying the new version of the extension can install it from the following link:
