The company confirmed the attack with the following statement on her site's homepage on Wednesday morning with a tweet:
[tweet_embed id = 438668285639680000] “bitly is currently working to mitigate a DDOS attack. Some parts of the website may not be available in part. "
It is unclear whether the DDoS attack has affected the bitly service links or simply the website.
A little later bitly published a new announcement on its website: "All connections work after the DDO attack is mitigated. Some connection metrics may still be delayed."
