The BitTorrent just left it free the bundles distribution service providing all musicians, filmmakers and other artists with the means to deliver to users who pay a small fee to download the content from the popular network vschangeof peer-to-peer files.
TechCrunch reports that the new project will allow artists to create paygate bundles so that users can download some of the content for free and pay if they want to unlock the rest. They can also choose to have a paywall that will be activated once a download limit is reached.
So the users are favored, but also the artists who will be able to earn 90% of the total revenue. 10% will of course go to BitTorrent but also to paygate service.
BitTorrent's move could shake up its stagnant waters musicand film industry, since the only costs the artists will have will be only for the software developers they will use for distribution.
